Just a Reminder: Gigi Buffon
There is no doubt in my mind as to who the best goalie is world football is today. Not Cech, not Van Der Sar, and not Casillas. Buffon stands alone as the best goalie of the modern era, and maybe even all time.
At the beginning of the year Buffon had problems with injury and struggled to regain his form following the subsequent layoff. But after watching him play these past few weeks, it’s safe to say he’s back to his best. He made some absolutely stunning stops for Juve this past weekend and is a huge reason why they’re leading the table right now. He’s also on fire for the national team.
As they say, form is temporary but class is permanent. Buffon’s form may have been shaky a few months ago but he’s back to show us why he’s our #1. And boy did we miss him.

Alessio, I think that was the greatest display by any italian keeper, ever! No matter how good buffon is – esp now – I cannot imagine him stopping a 1/4 of those penalties.

cassano cassano cassano……
o.k per Samp he can leave for €20 Million
His Buyout clause is €20 Million
So…
1) Will Inter, Juve, Milan, Roma, Fiorentina want him ?
2) Will he succeed again in a Big Club where is not the only star on the team ? (I am talking past Roma days)
3) I don’t see him going back to La Liga
4) Will top 5 team in EPL want his services?
Or would rather keep playing for Samp………………….
but looks like Samp want to cash in this Winter…

“Call me when your team ever makes it 5.”
No.
“Second of all, what kind of lifting/raising would he have to, I mean did you forget how you won the first two?”
Sure do. You guys were cheating, stripped of your “title” and we were the next highest clean team. The next season you guys were mistakenly sent down only one division and we won the league championship.
It was beautiful.
“We are talking about the GK of the ITALIAN NATIONAL TEAM on the ITALY WC 2010 BLOG. Instead of agreeing to the obvious or contributing with a good argument like: (just like Guys did about Fantantonio) “Lippi should start giving Santon more minutes on the field for the great talent the guy has” you say some stupid shit.”
If “we” – and I mean “you” since I wouldn’t want to be associated with the racist and morally dubious supporters of the most penalized team in the history of Italian history – were talking about Buffon and the “…ITALIAN NATIONAL TEAM on the ITALY WC 2010 BLOG”, then you can go ahead and leave Cesar out of your fucking comments.
And I may say some “stupid shit”, but at least I know that Cesar isn’t on the Italian National Team and shouldn’t even be discussed here on this blog.
If you Juventus assholes did, then be prepared for an argument. Just like when you guys come over to the Inter blog to talk about Juventus…

“Inter and the National team don’t even work together in the same sentence. Inter paid the national team such a diservice by benching Toldo for the better part of this decade.”
I love it when people say stuff like this.
When idiots say shit like this, it makes me so proud that I am not like them.

na, your an even bigger moron

I am fully aware that Julio Cesar, the GK of the Brazilian National Team is not Italian and should not be discussed here, but on the inter and Brazil Offsides. Good try, however, I did not even mention him, it was somebody else. As much as you’d like to think that I keep the historically biggest joke of Italy that you call team in my thoughts, you are mistaken my friend. The only times I have ever come on the inter offside have been when I have seen trolls like Mickey Mouse or you littering the fucking Juventus boards with your nonsensical flaming comments, generated by your born-loser mentalities. You should remember that, after all you were the one deleting my comments where I would call Mickey the fucking idiot he is. A month later Francesco and the majority of the inter offside contributors realized that he was an imbecile and called him the idiot that he really is. What else could you expect from an inter fan anyways?

Racist? Good god, it’s like last March all over again. Do you remember your own history? You drove a Messina player to tears with racist chanting. Pot, meet kettle.

Or racist banners put up against your own countrymen that got you banned. Well done Interistas.

Alessio, I bet MAD TV has no idea about this “little incident”. He probably has never heard of this “Zoro”. Are you talking about the fictional character that even Walt Disney made a movie about? I think he might know that. He probably was not an inter fan then, since that Championship was actually won by Juventus, before Guido Rossi decided to give it to La Banda degli Onesti and open their “great cycle of domination in Italian football!”.

When are we getting our scudetti back?
and lol at an interista lurking in the nazionale forums… (
with apologies to the matrix)

“Good try, however, I did not even mention him, it was somebody else.”
It wasn’t a try, it was the truth. You said that, “We are talking about the GK of the ITALIAN NATIONAL TEAM on the ITALY WC 2010 BLOG”. Therefore, you all were talking about Julio Cesar. Who isn’t on the Italian National team.
Which is what I said. You can get angry with that if you want, but I don’t see the point.
“As much as you’d like to think that I keep the historically biggest joke of Italy that you call team in my thoughts, you are mistaken my friend.”
I don’t really care what you think. And I am not mistaken about that.
“The only times I have ever come on the inter offside have been when I have seen trolls like Mickey Mouse or you littering the fucking Juventus boards with your nonsensical flaming comments, generated by your born-loser mentalities.”
I don’t really care about this either. I don’t care how many times you have come to the Inter Offsides. There are those of you who are fixtures there. If you don’t like me posting here or on the Juventus boards, then I would encourage you to do your best to keep them off our boards. Fair is fair.
“You should remember that, after all you were the one deleting my comments where I would call Mickey the fucking idiot he is.”
Insults are not allowed on the Inter board and haven’t been since Johonna took over. You can keep blaming me, if you like, though. I couldn’t care less. I’ll do it again, if you continue.
“A month later Francesco and the majority of the inter offside contributors realized that he was an imbecile and called him the idiot that he really is.”
That’s great, but it has nothing to do with me. You and Francesco can call him whatever you like… but not on the Inter boards.

“Racist? Good god, it’s like last March all over again. Do you remember your own history? You drove a Messina player to tears with racist chanting. Pot, meet kettle.”
Which the team and the supporters have owned up to and have dealt with. We the fans and the ownership have condemned those that did that. That isn’t tolerated in the Meazza anymore.
Besides, I don’t know what you are upset about. It was you that called us racist just a couple of days ago on the Inter boards.
Because we didn’t know about the racist chants that may have taken place in Cagilari. If I remember correctly, you said that we weren’t upset at the chanting, just who was doing it… implying that we were in fact in favor of them.
Which was a false statement as my post should have cleared up.
However, since you didn’t say anything about them yourself, by your own criteria, that would imply that you were in favor of them yourself… especially since we all know what you think of the player involved.
Whats the matter? Don’t like it when people call you racists, like I don’t?
Too fucking bad.

“When are we getting our scudetti back?”
When we get ours back from 1996 and 2002.
“and lol at an interista lurking in the nazionale forums… (
with apologies to the matrix)”
How am I lurking when I am actually making comments?
And why not apologize to all the Inter players that have played for the National team? That would only be about 100 more apologies.

MAD is clearly mad.Guys don’t talk to interisti because ALL of them are ignorant and know nothing about football.I bet you MAD only became interista after intermerda stole the scudetto

Haha your history is incredible short. You don’t remember Moratti’s response? “It’s not racism, they were just targeting the player.”
Besides, I don’t know what you are upset about. It was you that called us racist just a couple of days ago on the Inter boards.
I know you love to pull up quotes from a year ago, so find me that one.

What upsets me the most is how this reminds me of when Roberto Baggio was not given any real chances after the ‘94 World Cup. Here we have the best Italian player and perhaps one of the world’s best players at the moment (just like Baggio at the time) who has to continuously “prove himself”. What good does this do for our National team? How do we gain by having our best players watch from the outside?
In 2002 Trap felt it was necessary to continue with Alex Del Piero (who never proved himself with the National team) and Angelo Di Livio who was way past it. Meanwhile our real genius was watching from home with little he could do.
In 2004 when Totti disgraced our nation once again the perfect replacement to take over the play maker role was watching from home. Baggio would have been the right player to lead the team but our manager felt it was necessary to call up Bernardo Corradi and Marco Di Vaio who Baggio had more talent in his left pinky toe than both those players combined.
Here in 2009/10 we have a situation where a player has proved himself since last season and driven his team to the top of the table so far this season and yet we find ourselves scratching our heads as to why he still hasn’t been given the chance to lead our National team. Playing against Italy has become a simple task with no dangerous player to watch for. Instead we have Pirlo being played out of position because he’s too slow and a liability to our defenders. The solution is simple, include Cassano and make him our creative play maker that other teams hate playing against.
BTW, woer on Inter, the non-italian team of Italia..Inter is a disgrace to our country, even Lippi has openly snubbed it as a foreign team, because of teams like Inter, we are getting stale in Europe..Inter plays a defensive, physical style and will never WIN CL whatever they do..

wow!!iam watching the genoa-juve match, vinnie has scored!”the guy is practically scoring in every game now starting with that world cup qualifier against Bulgaria

“I know you love to pull up quotes from a year ago, so find me that one”
No problem. It was 4 days ago…
“alessio | September 21st, 2009 at 2:04 pm e
Speaking of personal insults…I notice an interesting lack of rage on this board about the racist chants against Balotelli this weekend, when it was full of anti-Juve diatribes 4-5 months ago. Is it an issue only when your rivals do it?”
“You don’t remember Moratti’s response?”
I also recall that he said that the FIGC had every right to crack down and halt the game and fine the team if they are found guilty.
Feel free to give the whole response.
Which, by the way, is a completely different response than Juventus: Nu-huh.
And their fans in an open letter: Nu-huh, you’re always picking on us… even when we are guilty…

Genoa just drew the Italian National team… maybe we should take them to WC qualifiers…
Or maybe we can take the best players of several teams – instead of just one – and be able to beat a team like Brazil…
Yeah, I know, what was I thinking…

Claudio Marchisio is easily the best italian young midfielder right now, he’s like a way more skilled and sensible perrotta

Hahahaha MAD how does that make me accusing Interistas of being racist? At worst, it means I’m accusing you of being apathetic.

So anyway…. how’s Rosina doing in Russia? I thought he made a decent start, but haven’t heard anything for a while.
You know what I’d like? The following players to be getting constant playing time, exposure at the top level and a chance to show some sustained good form: Giovinco, Foggia, Santon, Rosina, Balotelli.
I really don’t think this is the place to be wrangling over domestic rivalries. Let’s talk openly and honestly about what would be best for the national side, without all this hatred!

No, you implied that we don’t mind racist chanting, which makes us accessories to the act. Funny how we still don’t know how you feel about it, which by your own definition would put you where you were trying to put us.
And it was an ad hominem attack, by the way. I know how much you hate those, reading some of your comments lately. How interesting that you would make one only a day or two before noting how low you think of them…:D
And the whole thing was patently untrue. I, for one didn’t appreciate it.
Just like you don’t seem to like it when I do it to you. But we all know how the rules are different for a Juventini… or at least how you think the rules should be different…

MAD TV, ItalJuve might not always convince, but Italy is going to the WC, Argentina is not…
