The Organized Labor Poll
Well, it’s official, there will be no Serie A games this weekend. Which means our boys in blue go into the international break without a league game under their belts.

The Players’ Strike is the first in Italy in 15 years, and has come down to two arguing points: one, the right for managers to force players to train against the squad. The second, and more recent is the new Italian austerity tax which adds an additional 5-10% in taxes for people with large incomes (such as footballers.) The players feel the clubs should pay this, the clubs want the players to pay.
So I normally don’t venture much into the realm of Serie A over here, but since I now have nothing to do this weekend, and more importantly, this does affect the Azzurri, I want to know where your allegiance lies? Do you side with the clubs or with the players? Or are you split? Or maybe undecided?
Please feel free to discuss in the comments section, as I’m guessing you now have more time this weekend, as well. We will be counting down to next Friday’s trip to the Faroe Islands for our Euro 2012 qualifier, so stay tuned.
Elaine may or may not be around Twitter this weekend during the strike, but you can follow her to try to find out @ItaliaWCB
