What’s To Play For?

So we’ve got two Sundays left in Serie A before all eyes turn to Germany…a quick recap of the sides looking to land in Europe next year:

Juventus and AC Milan: Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Juve need only a win and a Milan draw, or a tie combined with a Milan loss to wrap up the 29th title and retain the shield. Palermo is still alive for a UEFA Cup spot, so don’t expect them to go quietly in Turin.

Inter Milan (CL) and Lazio (UEFA Cup): Doesn’t matter either way. They can’t move up, they can’t go down. They can spend all summer wondering where it went wrong, however.

Fiorentina and Roma: Still brawling with Roma for that coveted fourth Champions League spot. With a Coppa Italia leg left to play, a match against relegated Treviso and the pending return of Signor Totti, Roma is in one of the more interesting positions this weekend.

Chievo travel to Lecce, an almost certain victory, to keep the pressure on Parma for that last spot. The Flying Donkeys have to entertain Fiorentina on the last weekend, however, which doesn’t bode well for them.
