Totti es El Rey

A couple people kindly alerted me to the news that Pele dubbed Totti “the best player in the world” late this past week. Maybe Pele hasn’t see Ronaldinho (nudge nudge). I might add that Pele also dubbed him one of the most unfortunate! Call Pele what you want, but he certainly can play the role of diplomat—he thinks Italy have had the best side in the last two World Cups (an idea that probably doesn’t sit well with his countrymen back in Tres Coracoes) and he warns us that he likes the form of the Czechs. I’m not sure what it all means either, but Pele is proving he’s as good as ever for a soundbite.
