The Two Dumbest Sentiments Ever Uttered in Soccer History…
… unsurprisingly come from one person:

Does not matter who Italy puts out there for France will dominate and win 4-0. France is the greatest footballing nation in the world and may be better than Pele era Brazil. Henry is better than Pele ever was. No, I am not being sarcastic or funny.

. . . Aged or not, France’s players are proven talents, who does Italy have? . . . Pirlo? He may be talented and young but he’s looking tired and ineffective. . . .

I’m so stressed about tomorrow… It’s all I can think about, it’s all I talk about…
Thank God for these blogs!

Sure Italy may have a wining record overall against France but where it counts – in competition – France has a winning record against Italy. No, I didn’t predict the 1978 score as I was only getting into football at that point.

France has NO chance!!!

Barbar,
No, I don’t know Owen Hargreaves
I wish he’d play for Canada though I completely understand why he’s playing for England. I think England though needs to develop some more strikers. Owen only had a couple of good years, Crouch is only good when England has a lot of possesion (sp?), and Theo Walcott is still pretty unproven. Where is Freddy Adu? I know he’s young but is he developing the way that people thought he would?

Barbar,
You’re an imbecile. You talk about the lack of football being discussed and then slam the canadians in your very next post for shuddering in the presence of the u.s. flag.
Dumbest people on earth:
1. Vive Le France
2. Barbar
3. Fabien Barthez
4. Mike Tyson
As for your earlier ramblings, I don’t get paid to contribute to this site.

Vive Le France you w*nker… your arrogance will cost you dearly.
FORZA ITALIA !!!!

Hey Josh, What’s up with Fabian Bartez getting a mention? He managed to hook up with Linda Evangelista back in the day, not the stupidest move in history. I’m with you on Iron Mike though, he’s lost it completely…

I would scroll down every post until I found a Barbar post. His verbal wit and dexterity bowled me over every time. Anyhow lets hope that Italy can do it. It means everything and it means nothing. Forza Italia.

Worst quote.
Italy will win.
2nd worst
Camorenesi will score a goal.

I’m just getting interested in football, I really hope Italy wins!!
I really don’t like France because they defeated my Brazil and Spain. Yes, pretty shallow I know,
so you don’t need to tell me that anymore.
And Josh, I support you. In fact, I see your post as quite entertaining, although some would beg to disagree.

Anyone who singles out Italians for diving are a) not soccer fans and b) very selective. Diving knows no nationality. Henry, Ballack, Ondokor etc. They all do it. Interestingly, I have watched every game twice over for radio work – outside the USA game (where they were chasitsed in the Italian press), Italy has stood on their feet. There’s a big difference between outright diving and embellishment. In the game against Germany, Italy were clipped many times and to their credit stayed up. In fact, the Germans were a tad more willing to fall. The French soccer fan, from my experience, is nowhere near the Italian fan in terms of passion. For this I would prefer if Italy wins. I heard Desailly’s comments. Feeble words indeed. For a man that played in Italy he shows an utter lack of disregard for reality. In any event, the Italy/Germany game should lay to rest any negative thoughts about Italy. I highly doubt France would have beaten Germany under such conditions. If anyone took the back door in it’s France. But, in my estimation they both deserve to be here. May the best tema win and I hope we avoid any controversie or penalty kicks. I won’t even touch the two comments that set this off. I’m ashamed they are from Canada – where I’m from.

I apologize on behalf of all of Canada – these “canadians” are obviovsly drinking too much of our beer for they clearly have no concept of how good Italy is this year of how great Pele was. Frnce will go down just like the Germans – but will cry their smelly french asses off!!

Although I am Italian and will be rooting for the Azzuri, I am very nervous that France will win this game today. Zidanne is unbelieveable and I would compare him to Michael Jordan, for his ability to come through in the clutch and win games for his team. That being said, I think he is the best player on Le Bleu, not Henry. Nor do I think that Zidanne is better than Pele. You should go on the Yahoo World Cup site and watch the highlights of Pele and the highlights of the ‘62, ‘66 & ‘70 World Cups, then reassess whether you still believe Henry is better than Pele. I think you will change your mind once you did.

Well it looks like the Italians beat the French Foriegn Legion today.
I had the score Italy 2;france 0-That penalty was no such thing the french player untouched, took a dive like the typical french MEDAL OF VALOR wining soldier. Also LUCA TONI’S goal was a very questionable “off sides” but I’m glad it went into overtime or else I would have missed the scum bag Zinedane’s savage behavior. I guess he was upset that his Algerian relatives can’t find any work in beloved france except for the occasional CAR TORCHING!
I am off to see the French team fly home to AFRICA until the next soccer match.Vive Italia

I JUST WANT TO SAY, OVER ALL – THE AZZURRI ARE AMAZING…
I AM SO HAPPY AFTER 24 YRS, WE BROUGHT OUR CUP HOME! BEING ABLE TO EXPERIANCE THIS, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE HAS MADE ME HAPPIER AND EVEN PROUDER THAN EVER!!
FOR ALL THE FRENCH FANS, I’DE LIKE TO SAY… GOOD GAME- BUT NO WIN!!! WHO WAS IT THAT SAID 4-0 FRANCE… LOL I LOVE WHEN WE PROVE PPL STUPID.
GUESS YOUR CRYSTAL BALL WAS WRONG!
THE STREETS WERE FILLED WITH PROUD ITALIANS WHO KNOW HOW GREAT WE ARE, WE PLAYED WELL- AND WE DESERVED THIS WIN!
AS FOR THE FRENCH, THAT FIRST PEN SHOT THAT FRANCE HAD… mmmerrrrh, I guess we NOW know who “DIVES” the best… not even a single touch… and FRANCE GOES FLYING… that first GOAL for me and ALOT OF ITALIANS… WAS NOT EVEN WORTH THE TIME…EVEN THE FRENCH FANS KNOW THAT PEN KICK WAS UNCALLED FOR!!!!
I GUESS, IT WAS A GREAT SET UP ON THE “DIVES” FOR FRENCH… BUT WHEN YOU SCORE LIKE THAT… WHATS THE POINT OF EVEN SCORING… ZZ WAS FRANCES ONLY SHOT.
AS FOR THE RED CARD ON ZZ? ZZ WAS OUT OF LINE, IS HE A BULL??? HOW DID HE THINK THAT WAS GOING TO BE ACCEPTABLE?. THE FACT THAT ALL THE FRENCH PLAYERS WERE DISTRACTING THE REF, MAKES ME THINK THIS WAS A TOTAL SET UP BY THE TEAM… WHAT A WAY TO RETIRE ZZ… YOUR GOING TO BE REMEMBERED AS AN ANIMAL, NOT A SOCCER CHAMP!
… I LOVE THAT ITALY WON, I WAS BORN IN ITALY- AND I AM PROUD TO BE ITALIAN… I JUST WANT ALL THE FRENCH TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE SOCCER IN OUR BLOOD… WE ARE PROUD!! !!
THIS WAS EURO CUP … REVENGE!! WE DESERVED THAT CUP… BUT WHO CARES– COZ WE GOT THE ONE THAT MEANS THE MOST…

Doe , I agree with you 100% Italy deserved every bit of their victory no matter what anyone else says , for those who are blabing about how they cheated or dived , well their just jelouse .

I have been to the link you refer to, Natalie, many, many days ago and I have seen the DIVE from all angles. Grosso DIVED, ok! I have moved on, but people such as you persist with the past. Move on. Italy won. Congratulations to Italy. It deserved to win. It was the best team in the finals, but Grosso DIVED, and Materazzi should NOT have been red-carded in the Aust.-Italy game. Many decisions were made in this WC by referees that were in error, accept that, and accept that some people see the Gross incident different to you. Do not try and force me to see it your way. I am not sending you off to some link to show Grosso diving. Just accept I disagree with you. See you in 2010.

OMG- There are only 2 ppl I can think that can even be remotely thought of as better then Pele- Alfredo DI STefano- played the best for Real MAdrid and unfortunately could not play in a WC and Maradona- before cocaine incident

Vive le France deserves to be buried alive in shit behind plexiglass, for all to see;
displayed near the Disneyworld entrance.
My gosh what an arrogant senseless person….please put him to sleep, castrate him (it IS a him, btw), but just don’t include him in the human race
