This is the only sport I know of that celebrates a player for what they have done so late after that season is already over and they're already almost half-way into the next season. But what about players on defense that excel and are tops at their position but don't get the same recognition as the goal scorers? I'm not trying to imply that they never win, just that they may not get as much praise as they deserve until they make a huge play.
