Just Pick One

So, undoubtedly you’ve read that SGE picked Theo Walcott for the English WC side today (never mind that England has, what TWO healthy strikers at the moment??) and so it got me to thinking, if you could pick one teenager to stick on the Azzurri squad this summer, who would it be?

As Josh points out, thankfully we don’t have to worry about Lippi pulling some kind of dodgey move in the hopes that the risk pays off. But its still a bit of fun to argue. My choice? It might be Marco Rossi of Parma. Italy can still use a defender, so why not. Chiellini might work in a pinch, although by my rules I’m not sure. I believe he’s at least 20 by now. Let us know your suggestion for a ‘crazy teenage sensation’.

I would try and convince Stefano Chuka Okaka from Roma to come play for Italy instead of Nigeria. He has looked dangerous whenever given the opportunity for Roma. I know there is plenty of depth up front, but this kid has a chance to be very special in my mind.

this is a hard one because Italy right now has so many good strikers .. i can think of at least 7 who are all worthy of a spot .. umm maybe giusepe rossi who plasy for man U

normally I would say Giuseppe Rossi but since were well covered up front you gotta look at someone in defence. i really dont know :S

As far as I know, the Perugia-born Nigerian, Okaka, has committed to the Azzurri, and looks to feature in the 2010 WC. That’s great news as he is one heck of a talent.
