Italy – Turkey

Well, this one has to illicit some yawns. Typical ‘friendly’ stuff…lots of substitutions, multiple formations, and nothing really tangible to take hold of for the Euro qualifiers.

DiNatale played well by all accounts (even though he had the flukiest goal in ages) and you have to seriously consider him for ‘08 in his current form. Sure, he’s 29, but tell guys like Teddy Sheringham that age is a problem.

The 4-5-1 (or 4-1-4-1 as some are calling it) wasn’t very successful, but again when they’re missing guys like Pirlo and Toni among others, what can we expect? The best news is that there were no injuries and I’ll leave it at that.

I saw the game and as I expected it wasn’t very exciting to watch. The Don was experimenting with different formations and nothing much really happened other than Matarazzi’s proverbial bonehead play (OG). I think this guy does more bad than good but it was just a friendly and I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Not much to make note of in this match, really just a warm up for March. We need Totti back in the mix to provide some creativity up front.

I didn’t see the game but i thought Italy would at least win like 2-1 or 1-0 or sumtihng like that. I’m happy Aquilani finally got called up because ive been waiting for a while till he got called up to the senior level. Wat bout Stefano Mauri? How did he play? How did all of them play? Camoranesi? If anyone knows just write about it.

I didnt see it either but i was expecting at least a 2-0 win if not a 6-0 win. But thats what happens with Italy they win when they need to they didnt take the game serioulsy. They need pirlo and gattuso back in mid field Nesta back to form at the back and totti and Toni at the front as they are missing a lot of key players… You take Kaka, Ronaldinho and Adriano and Carlos out of Brazil they havent got much either.

It Looks more and more that Fabio “where do you think your going” Cannavaro will win the Golden Ball. The Football God’s are very happy, first a WC then this.
