Facchetti receives honor

In case you missed it this past week, Giacinto Facchetti and other players from the great Inter teams of the 60’s were presented with plaques by UEFA for ’special honors’. Helenio Herrera and Luis Figo were also singled out for their contributions to the game. It’s important to remember the players who came before who never were lucky enough to have games streamed over the internet or even shown on TV. Facchetti was one of those, but his contributions to the Azzurri can’t be diminished because of this fact.
