I think Portugal was amazing in the World Cup and I thought they outplayed France too. The difference is a lot of these games is just a bounce here or there…

Someone is speaking well.
The games in the World Cup are a bounce, too. But, don´t you think that perhaps have some influence, that favor some teams (that represents their countries)and others, are crashed!

Icarmo i must admit some of the portuguese team exagerated in diving yesterday. I agree with you on Portugal- Holland, the dutchies showing way less sportsmanship than portugal. anyway your tourney was great, just don’t pay attention to all the bad losers are pointing their fingers on you.

Argentinian referee? That’s excellent news for Italy. It’s just like having an Italian referee.

Everyone in Argentina is Italian!

Argentinian commentators in the USA always say it. They even say that when Argentina lost they all went with Italy.

Poor France

walther i see you know what life is all about ;)
Argentina I have heard the Argentinian commentary on Grosso and Del Piero goals, it sent shivers down my spine. Mr Elizondo, remember we are so linked to Argentina, do what your meant to do or else you will find a horse head on your bed. Vito Corleone has spoken.

And you lot wonder why some of my posts are edgy. Mon Dieu! The comments from the likes of BARBAR and Tascien are the reason….

pao, mate, my favourite place in Italy is Taormina, Sicily. I loved to travel around on the island – Syracuse, Palermo, Agrigento etc. Hope to come back many, many times.

zico and all others… now it is time to make a confession – two confessions. The dumbest diving ever in World Cup history was made by Hölzenbein in World Cup Final Munich 1974. The Netherlands have been cheated… And today we can read in Spiegel (that you learned to hate in Italy) that there is no discussion among the German World Champion team from Roma 1990, that Rudi Völler was diving, too, to get the penalty, that gave us the win… So, I better shuddup.

Can’t believe that this dirty bastard Christiano Ronaldo plays in England. Hope he has to come back to Manchester after World Cup – cheating against France and all the people laughing about him, selfish and idiot playing all the time, humiliated by Germany tomorrow (5:0) … and cheating on THE ROONEY BEAST in the England match.

There is a one pager in Süddeutsche Zeitung on Italian football, read it now and tell you more afterwards. How is the mood in Italy, pao, my friend?

doesn’t anyone think ROoney deserved it? FIFA seem to think so. And they’re the governing body. Anyway the red card woke England up. THey were playing shites football before.
Sure Ronaldo was wrong to have made such a big deal of it, esp since they’re teammates, but it’s terrible to boo the poor guy. And he may even lose his best young player status because of it.
I’m not a big fan of his, but I pity him for all the shites he is getting.

I just think egoistic. first I want you to see you, pao, cheer at this blog a wonderful last time during this World Cup :-) . Second, I will LOVE to go to each Italian football-Blog possible in the next four years to ask my question after every average Italian game – my question that will be: “YOU guys like to call yourself WORLD CHAMPIONS…?! shame, shame, shame” hehe

Barbar pao great reading your thoughts, I’m with guys all the way. The mood here in rome is like the night before exams… and we will have a big one this time.. France is good, tactical, experienced and most of all we have already paidthing the price!!!! My only hope is to see eleven lions wearing azzurro, fighting all the way to achieve something that sends shivers down my spine!! I still remember that evening 1982……

Just back from Germany, my friends and I saw Germany/Italy live in Dortmund.
All I can say is…France has NO chance…France has NO chance…
Kudos to Germany…I’m from Canada and this was my first World Cup, the Germans put on a SPECTACULAR WC. They were organized, friendly, warm and just awesome all round!!!!

BARBAR, I am glad you calmed down.

You actually sound human!

Sorry Germany lost. They played a great clean game.

By the way, have you ever associated Italian operas’ plots with soccer? That’s the way Italian soccer works: Tragedy, suffering, and tears. But sometimes, the ending is good, just to remind you… that there is a god… somewhere.

OH, please… Elizondo is a pro, and he’ll do what he has to do, regardless his nationality. Besides, if it were for national afinities, there’s Trezeguet (spelliing?) in France and Camoranesi (from my hometown) for Italy, both Argentinian. Let’s stop speculating and trust Elizondo’s good judgement…
