Derby Time

April 12th, 2006 | By: Jay | No Comments »

The league is a given at this point, but the Milano derby is always good for something unusual (that was the understatement of the year)and Inter is in good domestic form despite their Champions League debacle. And of course there are a few interesting subplots that relate to the World Cup:

- Will Inzaghi continue his crackling form? On the other hand, what about Gattuso? He’s been very quiet for some time.

- Will Adriano suit up for Inter? Can have ANY confidence left as he heads to Germany? He’s taken a beating in the press and from fans (and if reports are correct, from teammates) recently.

Figo and Pirlo both must avoid cards or serve suspensions, in the coming weeks. You should watch it if for no other reason, it may be the last time you see Paolo Maldini in a derby.
