Break Out the Satellite Dish

July 18th, 2006 | By: Jay | 43 Comments »

Donadoni makes an interesting point here, or at least this is how I’m interpreting it: He’s not going to get to see many of his current squad players in person without doing a lot of traveling. When the Juve ‘boot sale’ starts (and believe me, it will) there will be players jumping across the continent as we know. Not only that, the competition they face will vary from league to league and getting an accurate read on some players will be a bitharder, especially if guys like Toni are rampaging through Serie B. Release dates for players will make it a little trickier to get everyone to Coverciano, blah blah blah. All these little pebbles add up to a headache for Signor Donadoni. Now, mind you, these are the same issues that most coaches face (have you ever try to get 22 internationals to and from Brazil? hah.) I guess my point is, it was a nice little advantage to have all the senior Azzurri playing in the same domestic league and now that advantage is gone.

I guess this means Zidane gets to keep his best player award. Unbelievable.

great work fifa!!!
fifa put at the same level someone who say something bad to a another player and someone who ives headbutt!!!
since now every one is authorized to give an headbutt if someone says something to you!!!!
but now i wonder where fifa was when poulsen had nice words for totti and his family and only totti got 4 match disqualification?????
it happened to the untouchable zidane protected by platini and blatter (by the way, why wasn’t he to give the world cupto the italian team? was he too sad for french defeat???)so they had to do something to keep clear zidane’s image!

Dead on Dario! Why the hell was Materazzi punished and Poulsen never was? Poulsen must have said something as vile as Materazzi, but Totti was made out to be the villain. FIFA is so two faced.

ANYWAY, it looks like Donadoni is intent on keeping Lippi’s spirit going.

I think this is obviously a good idea, and I also like the idea that he will look at players outside of Serie A. I think there is potential with players like Miccoli, Di Viao and Maresca. They aren’t neccesarily the youngest players, but they can help for Euro qualifying.

we stole the cup? and your supporting arguments are…?
There are many sore losers in the world, but let me remind you 3 things. 1-penalties are part of the game, so winning in penalty cant be qualified as cheating 2-italy has gone out 3 world cups in penalties including a final, so we are not lucky at all. And i have a question for you, if italy stole the world cup, that means another team should have won right? who? france that lost to us in penalties, and could only score thanks to a rare penalty and got lucky that italy got a goal ”controversially” disallowed for offside cuz let me tell you, the tv didnt show the angle camera they should with the yellow line marking the offside? brazil that lost to france? germany that lost to us? Australia who couldnt beat us despite playing UNFAIRLY a man up during the whole game, and then cried b/c they got a controversial penalty called against? or your US which didnt qualify from the group we topped?? :D ….as the song says
NO TIME FOR LOSERS (like u) CUZ WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD

futebolblinger .. so when brazil beat italy on penalties in the 94 WC final did they steal that as well .. or when liverpool were ever so lucky to come back in the champions league final and beat Milan on penalties im guessing they stole that one as well … maybe france stole the cup in 98 when they won it as well (seeing as they beat italy on penalties, and italy was the only team they could not score against) .. basically you are a joke .. ohh and gues waht ITALY HAVE 4 STARS .. OHH HOW THAT MUST BURN U INSIDE HAHAHAHAHA

To Futebolblinget so we didn’t deserve to win the world cup and that we are cheats, does that go for Brazil back in 1994, your just soar because your lot got dumped out in the group stages and could’nd even win a game, and you think you can criticize the four times world champions I think not, you Americans are full of S@*%, Italian Americans excluded
