Brazil Preview Part 4: Potentially Canceled….

Hey guys, remember that one time I blogged about the Brazil friendly? It was a while ago, and I went all out, actually doing 3 looks at their squad. The squad was announced the other day and it’s basically what we all thought it would be. But today I go on goal.com and find this article. Which says that it’s probably going to end up being canceled.

Shit.

Let’s not jump the gun here. It could still be on- there’s no official word as of yet. But if it is cancelled, it sucks for two reasons. One, for me personally cause I spent like a weeks worth of posts covering the game. But also because it denies Italy a chance to really test themselves against a big gun.

More on this as it happens.

Edit: Nevermind, we’re good to go

The game will go ahead as scheduled, they’ve decided that Politics should not interfere with sporting events.

You know I’m not too confident for some reason. Brazil will be VERY tough. Pato (if he plays) has A LOT of pace and A LOT of skill and will BURN any inexperienced (and even the experienced) defender. Their keepers are both very good too, of course not as good as Buffon. I don’t really know what to expect from either side, I think this one could really go either way.

That do you guys think of goal.com saying that Maldini should be called up to play against Brazil for a farewell. I think its a great idea but I would like to see it in Italy though.

Hey guys hows everyone. Julian, if you are still looking for ideas on posting you could do a piece on the best Azzurri jerseys and have everyone vote for their favourite. I have to admit I am very curious because I just bought the 02 kappa and some guy said that they didn’t like it.
