I am still wondering who dived in the last 2 games against Ghana and USA. I didn’t notice all this diving. The only thing I can remember is Asamoah Gyan diving 2 times inside the italian box searching for a penalty and I can recall that Perrotta and Gilardino got injured after USA game…well they are actors, maybe the went on acting 2 days after the game.

The world has power house teams like Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Italy amongst other very good teams.

For those teams like the United States that are trying to prove themselves, they need to do everything they can CONSISTENT with the way other teams play to show that they can compete.

If the power house teams tug, dive, act, and clip, how can teams like the US compete unless they do the same?

Let the power house teams SERVE AS AN EXAMPLE OF CLASS and call out teams like the US for playing at a lower level of class for competing inconsistently with the standard.

Otherwise, there is nothing really to celebrate when your power house teams play tug, dive, act, and foul, and say, “Well everyone else is doing it!”

your empirical observations regarding team Italia commiting egegious fouls is totally unfounded as the Azzurri generally have one of the lowest totals of any team in the tournament which has been a consistent pattern over the years.

In fact the 1994 WC in which they reached the final against Brazil they committed the least number of fouls of any team in the tournament that advanced to the final round.

After removing your blinders review the tapes and see how many fouls were committed against Italian players especially their forwards from behind undercutting their legs which is extremely dangerous and recall the vicious elbows thrown against Del Piero and Pirlo during the Ghana match which sent them reeling to the pitch but was never called by the ref.

Finally your ethic stereotyping,vitriol and denigrating remarks about Italians or any other country participating in the tournament is repugnant and speaks volumes about you as a person.
