Poll: Which Keeper Will Prandelli Keep?
With Emiliano Viviano’s unfortunate injury, Prandelli is forced to venture from his favorite 3 and call up a third keeper to provide necessary depth. And while people consider Buffon untouchable, remember last year’s back injury? Seeing Marchetti between the sticks was worse than watching a deer in the headlights.
So does he change his tune and call up a “more experienced” keeper? Or does he risk 2010 World Cup 2.0 by sticking with his youth policy? And with Sirigu having not the greatest season at Palermo and now moving to PSG, will there actually be two spots open? Keep in mind the Euros are less than a year away and Viviano’s injury will require at least 6 months recovery.
As with all big decisions, I feel the need to ask you, our loyal readers, what you think. Please take a minute to take our poll, and then expound upon these choices in the comments section. Also, if there is another keeper you think should be considered that didn’t make the poll, please add him to the comments.
Please be advised that this poll should not be construed as an official source for the Azzurri. This decision is not made by a democracy, but is rather made by meritocracy, or so Prandelli says. But if taking this poll or commenting on this blog makes you feel better, then by all means please continue to participate. Your participation also feeds the delusions of these bloggers, making them feel unnecessarily important and useful. So thanks for that.
