Mini Azzurri Highlights Motherfuckers !
Pierluigi Casiraghi is using the annual Festival de Toulon football tournament in France as testing ground for the upcoming Beijing Olympics. The good news is that the young Italians are responding very well, 6 goals For and only 1 goal conceded so far on top of 3 victories over USA,Turkey and The Ivory Coast to start off the tournament. This isn’t the exact team that’ll be on the plane for China in 75 days, Giuseppe Rossi and Alessio Cerci are the most notable absentees. Nonetheless the mini Azzurri are looking to gel perfectly together before heading on to the land next to the land of the rising sun.
Giovinco scored both goals against the Elephants while Daniele Dessena, Ignazio Abate, Claudio Marchisio and Davide Lanzafame have all gotten on the scoresheet so far.
Here are the goals :
Lanzafame vs Turkey
Marchisio continuing the carving
Abate and Dessena stickin’ it to the Us of A
And all 5 feet of Sebastian Giovinco
One thing’s for sure, Giovinco ain’t your regular everyday kind of guy
Forza Azzurri of all ages !

Does our future look bright.
Rock on, azzurrini! I’m looking forward to seeing some Russotto action some of these days, everybody speaks wonders of him but I’ve rarely had the chance to see him play. Certainly I’ve seen nothing to convince me he’s more promising than Giovinco and Giuseppe Rossi. Let’s hope he gets back to Serie A next year, possibly not in lazio.

john, like yourself i am a russotto fan, seeing only a few highlights of his talent. he is versitle, he can play on the left or right, in attack or in the middle. this is good, because as far as attacking talents go, Cassano, rossi, giovinco, lanzafame, russotto and forestieri, some of these guys will have to play on the wings for the azzurri if the y want to play in major tournaments. As far as big centre forwards, Acquafresca and Balotelli look primed to take over from luca toni in 3- 4 years, whilst not forgetting others such as Borriello, Gilardino, Bianchi and Iaquinta

Just like you guys i am a russoto fan and i´m positive the “italian messi - as they call him” will do great thing´s in 1, 2 years. As for Giovinco he´s pure talent already perfoming great in serie A even playing for a week team, the same goes for rossi. All these 3 will be ones of world best in the near future.
Not mention lanzafame, forestieri, Acquafresca, Balotelli, Cigarini, De Silvestri,Osvaldo, Pazzini they ar all huge talented, among others already known like De Rossi, Aquilani, Montolivo, Rosina.
About Cassano on pure talent alone he´s second to none in europe. What bright future for the Azurri.
